Program/Activity Guide questions

For those of you who publish program/activity guides (and I'll assume that's pretty much all of you), how often do you publish them? Monthly? Quarterly? Semi-Annually? etc. What is your reasoning for this and do you like that distribution or would you prefer to do something differently and why?

Also, do you include all of your programs in the guide or are you limited to a certain amount of space, and put additional programs on your website or other sources?

Do you allow "outside" groups to have their information included in your publication.

One more...do you create your documents on your own or do you pay another company to do it for you?

Whew! Thanks for the time!

Program/Activity Guides

Well I guess I'll start.

We put out a quarterly newsletter (Speaking of Painesville) encompassing all of the city news, business, and events. Most of the publication is dedicated to Recreation Activities, but there is other news in it as well.

We like the quarterly distribution. Previously we (Recreation Division) did our own individual newsletter ranging from 4-6 times a year. 6 was to much.

We produce our newsletter ourselves then send it to a local printer for printing/mailing.

Typically we do not give/sell space to outside groups, though we do include our Sr. Center events in it as well. The Sr. Center is independently owned/operated.

Thanks.
