Is it possible to create a Marketing section to this site?

Hi Leda

When creating a Discussion right now you are able to tag it with a specific Program Area, Life Stage and Process. Under process we have "Promotions" as one of the selection so if you are looking at marketing / promoting a specific program or event I think tagging it under Promotions would be appropriate.

Is this what you are asking? Or do you want a Marketing Program Area? Right now our forums are split by Program Area.

I just joined RW and and am perusing around wondering if perhaps a "marketing group" would be beneficial to create. In looking at the existing groups I'm not sure I understand how they work, though. It would be cool to have members join who have marketing responsibilities and be able to post a question/inquiry that could be sent out to everyone in that group soliciting their input.

Hi Debbie, you can absolutely create a marketing group. You can make it an open / public group so anyone interested can join or you can have it so you approve members. Or if you want a fully private you can do that and only invite the members you would like to join.

All of these options are available when creating a group. Alternatively, if you would like to have a discussion regarding marketing of a specific program and/or share files you can also Create a Wave (and attach files to it) so that the whole community can contribute.
