Activities are a huge part in what we do as recreation professionals. As I am still in school, but also working in the field, I have found that having a handful of activities and ice breakers to go to is key to successfully keeping a group happy and engaged.
I was wondering if anyone had any go-to web sites or books that they use as great sources to get new activities.
Also, if anyone has a great activity that they would like to share, learning new activities is great for everyone!
Add the activities here and don't forget to add them to the Resources tab under Activities!

Ultimate Camp Resources
This is a great site that I use. While most of it is geared towards youth, you can certainly modify the games/activities for any group.

Great Team building Activities Website
Check out Tom Heck's Site: International Association of Teamwork Facilitators at www.teachmeteamwork.com
If you sign up for his newsletter, he sends links to teambuilding/group activities- some with video clips, most with instructions and discussion topics.

Outdoor Recreation
I've been doing some browsing myself, and found a site with some good activities.
www.wilderdom.com
It has many games and activities that are easily explained and easier to do.
Does anyone have any good book ideas that could go into a professional library?
